The COMEDIA Theater and WDTanztheater – a new artistic initiative in North Rhine-Westphalia – are starting the new year together. In response to increasing anti-Semitism in Germany, the two theaters have teamed up to host a special community event.
Works by Sagí Amir Gros, choreographer, film and theater maker and artistic director of the WDTanztheater will be shown. Originally from Tel Aviv, Sagí has spent half of his life in Germany and the Netherlands. His self-developed artistic philosophy called “Physical Script” unfolds personal narratives that promote inclusivity and connectivity. Sagí, a queer artist with a diverse background, addresses contemporary and relevant themes related to identity, inclusion and brings individual stories to the forefront.
As part of the event, we get an insight into Sagí's creative world and get to know his personal working style, a mixture of film, theater and contemporary choreography. The program is accompanied by an open conversation…
